Align and Let Go
Wednesdays at 6:45 PM
Your body's shape and the way it moves will continually change throughout your life. Finding the right alignment that supports not just your yoga practice but your day to day life is integral to finding peace and strength within.this class is excellent for beginners and experienced practitioners alike who I want to move deeper into the poses and discover foundational principles that will help establish healthy patterns.
This practice is designed to help you sit longer, and more comfortably, in meditation by stretching connective tissue around the joints (mainly the knees, pelvis, sacrum, and spine). Suitable for al levels, Yin Yoga involves variations of seated and reclined poses typically held for 3 to 5 minutes, accessing deeper layers of fascia. We offer over 6 Yin classesweekly morning, noon and night.
Meet in front of Downtown Yoga (515 S. Main). Bring your bicycle, helmet and yoga mat. We’ll head out for a pleasant ride along the Harahan Bridge and then around Downtown. We’ll wind our way to the Silly Goose, on Peabody Place, where Amy Hutcheson will lead us in a FREE 30-minute yoga session. Silly Goose then invites us to stay for drinks.
Yoga beginners and families are welcome. For the ride, you should be able to ride for about an hour, at an easy pace. We like to chat while we ride!
